RICHARD M. TORRE, Chairman
Richard M. Torre has over 35 years of
diversified national and international finance and business
organization/management success in New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Montreal and
Hong Kong. Finance activities have been highlighted by underwriting, mergers and
acquisitions, corporate finance and investment advisory.
Mr. Torre is an active board member for a variety of public and private firms as
well as civic organizations. Presently he is the Chairman of Signature Eyewear,
Inc. (OTC), The Hydrogen Fund, MMT Investors, Inc., Dartmouth Associates, Inc.
and Dauntless Capital Partners, LLC. as well as a Board Member of Aircomm
Wireless Corp. He has completed terms as Vice-Chairman of both Pacific
Mercantile Bank(NASDAQ) and JLM Foodservices, Inc.; Chairman, of the nationally
recognized Forum for Corporate Directors and Exceed Capital Holdings(CDNX), and
Board service at both Braintech, Inc. (OTC) and the Graduate School of
Management at The University of California, Irvine. He is presently a member of
both The Southern California Investors Association and The Association for
Corporate Growth.
Dick's corporate career began at Mill Factors Corp. and continued at Congress
Financial/Philadelphia Bank and Bank of Virginia Company in their New York and
Montreal subsidiaries. He was Senior Vice President at Heller Financial in
Dallas and Los Angeles, responsible for the firm's factoring and asset based
lending activities on the West Coast, the Orient and Australia prior to the
formation of Dartmouth Associates in 1984 and several investment banks in the US
and Canada which he Chaired.
Resident in both Coto de Caza, California and Boise, Idaho, he is
a Summa Cum Laude graduate, Fordham University-Physics, a guest lecturer at
Pepperdine University, the U.S. Naval History Institute, City College of New
York, Woodbury University, the New York Institute of Credit, Melbourne
University and the Winston S. Churchill International Society on a diverse range
of topics, principally business finance, economics and the strategy and tactics
of the Pacific War 1937-1945.
Particularly notable has been his commitment to the establishment of the USS
Missouri as a National Monument at Pearl Harbor(1/29/99) and the National World
War II Memorial, Washington, D.C.(5/24/04).
